I’m still here – I’m just super busy. I have been working on the voxel engine, but mostly on cross platform issues. I thought I would solve all the issues with SDL, but that hasn’t worked out so well. It turns out the Tao bindings are to SDL 1.2, which doesn’t have very good support for Mac OS X and other platforms. So, I’m trying to move back to GLUT, and I’ve solved the framerate issues. However, there is no support for the scroll wheel in FreeGLUT on Mac OS X. I’m trying to solve that issue now by creating some custom bindings to some of Apple’s frameworks. Stay tuned!
Update – I went back to using GLUT, and am now using a modified version of GLUT.framework on Mac, which supports scrolling via a mouse wheel.
